Victims of the PIP breast implant scandal who previously missed out on compensation are being given another chance to make a claim.

Important TUV 5 PIP Implant Claims Update: July 2021

We are no longer accepting new clients under the TUV 5 wave of PIP claims.

Other firms may still be taking on new TUV 5 clients and we would recommend that you make urgent enquiries if you want your claim to be considered.

We do not know whether there will be a TUV 6 group in the future, but we will post news on this when a decision has been made.

The French courts have issued a lifeline to PIP victims who thought they had lost out on the right to seek compensation.

Judges in France have opened the litigation to a new group of victims, enabling women who previously missed out to make a claim.

We are therefore taking on new PIP compensation cases which we are happy to fund on a No Win, No Fee basis in association with lawyers in France.

We have already recovered substantial compensation for women in previous PIP groups. It looked unlikely that further groups would be allowed by the courts, so this news will come as a great relief to the numerous women who have suffered but have been denied justice.

Oliver Thorne, who is head of Slee Blackwell’s PIP compensation claims team, has warmly welcomed the decision, describing it as “fantastic news”.

Oliver is looking forward to helping another group of victims who missed out on compensation the first time round.

“All the victims of the PIP scandal are deserving of justice,” he said, “and I’m delighted that those women who feared they would never be allowed to make a claim are finally being given an opportunity to do so.”

However, time is likely to be crucial and anyone wishing to make a claim is advised to get in contact with us as soon as possible to avoid potential disappointment.

You can call our PIP helpline on 0333 888 0437 or email us at [email protected] for further information and details of our No Win, No Fee funding scheme.
